European Crystallographic Computing Forum
14th - 17th of August 2019

Dates: The European Crystallographic Computing Forum will be held in Melk (Lower Austria) from the 14th to 17th of August 2019, immediately preceding the European Crystallographic Meeting ECM32.

The European Crystallographic Computing Forum is a participant driven event. We encourage informal tutorials between participants. Participants can bring small software projects and work on them together with other participants in teams, being helped by the invited tutors and each other.

Mornings will be filled with plenary discussions and lectures on topics of general interest to computing in all disciplines of crystallography, afternoons and evenings will be run code-camp style, intersparsed with tutorials as needed.

Beginning time: Beginning time of the forum is on 14-Aug at 18:00h.

Location: The Forum will be held in Melk (Lower Austria), which is 85 km from Vienna. There are regular train connections from Vienna to Melk. At the end of the Forum we will organize a bus travel to the ECM congress in Vienna.
Note: a very small number of single- and double-bedrooms is available for special needs (and additional charge). The common accommodation is in multi-bed rooms.

Invited speakers/tutors: Duncan Johnstone, Rita Giordano, Christian Hübschle, Dorothee Liebschner, Robert Nicolls, Stef Smeets, Melanie Vollmar.

Fee: The registration fee is 200 Euro. This includes 3 night accomodation (multi-bed rooms, youth hostel style) and all meals during the Forum. Transfer to the ECM congress is included as well.
